A 17thC Carved Limestone Rain Head Waterspout Gargoyle c.1600-50Origin: English Period: Jacobean Stuart Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1600 1650 Height: 10. 75 Width: 8. 5 Depth: 15 (all with spout) The well carved period stone gargoyle, in complete condition with lead water spout, once party of a cathedral or church exterior, the gargoyle head fashioned in the medieval manner with furrowed brows and deep nasolabial creases to a flowing mane, surviving from the Jacobean to Stuart period England. In one piece the
